Subject Learning Goals

Linking Statement

Practices like teaching, staff and college leadership meetings, professional development and subject or curriculum planning are everyday activities in my current work context.

By participating in the activities of this unit, I hope to gain more knowledge and understanding of the science and theories that underpin and direct the concepts and changes in professional practices. Providing me the experience and opportunity to apply this research to my own professional practice, teaching VET engineering in the government high school sector.

Reflection:

After completing the unit of Professional Learning and Practice, I feel I now have a deeper understanding of professional practices and the arrangements which may either enable or constrain a practice. The introduced theory of practice architectures makes a clear frame work to unfold or interrogate a professional practice, providing a sound approach when deciding to make change or encourage these practices to change and development moving forward into future generations.
